Even though I am not a huge art lover, I tend to have great interest for 3-D art forms and installations, like the Dale Chihuly glass exhibit at The New York Botanical Gardens (summer 2006).
It must have been one of the hottest days that summer…and because I had to buy a ticket in advance, I was really taking a chance with the weather. However, once I got there, after a 1 hour bus ride and getting lost along the way, I was totally blown away by the sheer size and the beauty of the glass installations.
At the entrance to the Enid Haupt Conservatory, there was this beautiful pillar of glass…

which immediately reminded me of our Crystal Candy Swizzle Sticks!

Here are a few of my fave shots…the colors are amazing and each piece of glass was hand crafted, transported and installed for everyone’s viewing pleasure.

This one should be turned around…but you can see the curved roof of this amazing glass conservatory with the large glass flowers hanging from it.

I love the vibrant colors and the fluidity of this one!

You really have to see for yourself, the beauty of nature and glass combined….truly a match made in heaven! If you are a traveller, be sure to catch his exhibitions around the world. Highly, highly recommended for all ages!
