How to keep the “bling” in your ring

Do you ever feel that your diamond wedding ring is losing a bit of its “bling”? Never fear, jewelry cleaner is here.  Whenever I’m feeling sad, mad or just a little “bummed out”, I always feel better after I clean my rings.  I guess this habit comes from being in the jewelry industry for a long time.
Here’s a little story….I’ll never forget the time, a little ol’ lady came into the jewelry store and wanted to get her rings cleaned.  It was a complimentary service; but due to her arthritic, gnarled fingers, she had difficulty getting the rings off, so she proceeded to spit on her fingers and lick them so there was some lubrication.  I was absolutely stunned that she expected me to take them with her spit and all.  I took a towel and quickly transferred it into the ultrasonic machine (this is safe to use approx. once per year since you don’t want to be shaking up your stones too much, especially if you have pave settings)
Get your own “cheap thrills” with your personal bottle of Jewlery Sparkle from Birks jewellers in Canada or in the USA Hagerty’s Jewel Clean (below) works just as well too.
ps  This is my favorite engagement gift for brides, along with the newest copy of Martha Stewart Weddings magazine too.
pps  for a gals’ nite in….i’ve even had jewelry cleaning parties, where all my girlfriends get to bring in their bling for a dip in the ultrasonic machine.  They are all soooo happy afterwards….it’s almost like getting a new piece of jewelry!  Husbands…you should thank me…I’m doing you guys a huge favor and saving you lots of dough too.
