This past weekend, we had the opportunity to visit the Musuem of Glass in Tacoma, WA….and boy, are we glad we did. Not only is the building itself a gorgeous venue, but the pieces on exhibit are amazing examples of blown glass by world renowned master glass artist, Lino Tagliapietra of Murano, whose career has spanned over 40 years.
You have to see them “in person”, the above photos don’t do them justice at all!
The museum is always bringing in new exhibits, so be sure to visit it often.
Below is a photo from Seattle’s Jack Young Photography, that shows the magnificient beauty of the glass Seaform ceiling by Tacoma’s very own, Dale Chihuly who was instrumental in the founding of The Museum of Glass.

This is a beautiful venue that can be rented out for weddings and private events too.
They even have a HOT SHOP, where you can see live glass blowing by artisans, who are working on their current projects.
It'll make your wedding different from the others if you have that kind of design. It really looks cool.

Whoever says size doesn't matter is wrong. If you have 60 people attended your wedding reception, you want to find a wedding venue that accommodates around 60-80 people. Why get a great venue that holds 150 people then not even half fill it, your wedding guests will be rattling around inside, and all atmosphere will be lost.

When you visit a wedding venue, don't just turn up unannounced, not only may there be a wedding or another function already on, but the staff won't be prepared to show you around properly. Telephone them first, make a proper appointment for one of their staff to meet you, they can then show you around the venue, answer all the questions you have and discuss your wedding plans. They will also be able to tell you whether or not the wedding venue is available for your chosen wedding date.

Aside from weddings, the museum can be a unique venue for reception and other events. It would be fun enjoying the celebration and being able to watch artists blow and shape works from molten glass.

Have you ever tried to exhibit your pictures? Everything's wonderful.

Having so many colorful glasses around is indeed a classy wedding. It's like being wed in the church of Basilica.
